Ligament pains and Lacomme syndrome during pregnancy, this product will do wonders for you!
Pregnancy is a magical time but also comes with its share of discomforts. Among these are ligament pains and the Lacomme syndrome.
Ligament pains, even if seemingly harmless, can become particularly debilitating. Pulling sensations in the lower back, pelvic pain, feeling of heaviness in the lower abdomen… the pains can be particularly unbearable and occur at any time. In the case of Lacomme syndrome, also known as false sciatica, the pains are intense and radiate from one side of the abdomen to the groin. Until now, there was no solution to relieve pregnant women… but that was before!
A solution to immediately relieve Lacomme Syndrome
One morning, everything is fine, and suddenly, it’s a disaster! After a few steps outside, the pain appears, settles in, and becomes unbearable. During a first pregnancy, one might think it’s a contraction!
It pulls, the baby presses on the lower abdomen as if he’s ready to come out, and discomfort is not far away. No position brings relief. No matter if you lie on one side, then the other, sit, or stand up: the pain is intense. And apart from Doliprane or Spasfon (which should not be abused, as they are chemical medications), there’s nothing to relieve these pains.
Nothing? Well, maybe there is!
The Coolpad XL Gel: the ultimate weapon against ligament pains
Working at Climsom makes me one of the first testers and users of our brand’s products. That’s why my fridge is filled with all kinds of cooling pillows! While the air-conditioned mattress topper has saved my life, especially during heatwaves, I always have a cooling cushion on hand to relieve my heavy legs as soon as I get home from work: the CoolPad XL Gel. And maybe it didn’t save my life, but at least it saved my last night!
Because I’ve been experiencing ligament pains and pregnancy sciatica, the famous Lacomme Syndrome, for the past few days.
After a day of pain, I finally found relief during my night. But that was before waking up suddenly and in pain at 3 a.m.!
After long minutes of trying to find a position, groaning in pain with every movement, and thinking that my night (and day) was ruined, I remembered a phrase we all know at Climsom: inflammation => coolness.
So I rushed to my fridge and pulled out my cooling pillow, the Coolpad XL Gel. Lying on my back, I placed the cooling pillow on the right under my lower back (the epicenter of the pain in my case) and a small travel pillow under the left side.
“Unbelievable relief (and I mean every word of it!). Within a few minutes, my pain was gone. I still had a slight discomfort in my back, but what a relief! And I finally fell back asleep within a few minutes. And upon waking up, no unpleasant surprises or pains.”
So I found my ultimate weapon against ligament pains and Lacomme Syndrome.
And the advantage is that it’s multifunctional because the CoolPad XL Gel:
- Provides the pain-relieving power of cold (painkiller) and relieves in just a few minutes.
- Relieves heavy legs by boosting blood circulation thanks to the vasoconstrictive effect of cold.
In this case, wrap your legs in the CoolPad XL Gel following the example in the photo below. - Helps to find sleep: place it on the cooling pillow in your pillowcase or directly on your pillow for more freshness, and enjoy the coolness to fall asleep more easily.
- Is a source of freshness for the head and shoulders due to its large size, particularly appreciated at night during heatwaves.
A tip: always keep a cooling pillow handy!
Quelques conseils pour prévenir les douleurs
Here are some recommendations to prevent pains associated with Lacomme Syndrome or pregnancy in general:
- Engage in some exercise, but choose wisely!
Swimming and Yoga are ideal for strengthening muscles and can be practiced until the end of pregnancy. However, be cautious with Yoga: if you’re not accustomed, opt for prenatal Yoga sessions led by a teacher to avoid incorrect postures. - Maintain good posture
Avoid soft armchairs and sofas that you sink into. Try to sit as straight as possible. Physiotherapist François Stevignon explains well on his website and in his book how to avoid risky postures.
And above all, REST!
Avoid sudden movements (get out of bed gently by starting to roll to the side), and avoid high heels.
We wish you a wonderful pregnancy and a serene preparation for childbirth. Although these moments are not always easy, they are also filled with magical moments!
